Introducing our new starters

Posted by: Megan Cliffe - 28.03.22

This month has been a busy one for Ride Shotgun, we’ve had a raft of new starters and we thought it was about time that we introduced them!

All primarily based in our Leeds office, our new starters span the length and breadth of our services. Read on to find a little more about them.

Holly

‘I’m Holly and recently joined as a Producer.

I graduated with a degree in Marketing and Advertising comms in 2019 and jumped straight into working at a marketing agency in Leeds doing a cross role between client services and production where my main client was a supermarket fashion brand. From then, I moved to a social media agency for a short stint working on TikTok campaigns with influencers to create viral TikTok campaigns, but I missed being on set and so moved to Ride Shotgun!

Outside of work, I try to spend as much time in the gym as I can and balance that out with a healthy interest in wine.’

Harry

‘Hi, I’m Harry and have joined Ride Shotgun as a Studio Assistant.

I graduated from UWS with a BA (Hons) in Photography in 2019. I then did loads of freelance and assisting work during my time at uni in the UK and abroad. I worked out in L.A for a 6-week stint with some great agencies and photographers including Art Partner, Freedom Models and Glen Luchford.

After uni, I went straight into working full-time with J’adore Models in Manchester. My role was super varied, working as an in-house photographer, creative and scout. It was a great experience, but I soon realised I wanted to be more involved in a studio environment, so this role at Ride Shotgun was a perfect fit for me.

Outside of work I enjoy following sports – I’m a Man Utd fan which is more painful than enjoyable these days. I also enjoy travelling, a pint and walking my extremely needy dog.’

Liam

‘Ey up, I’m Liam, your new Geordie Creative.

I graduated from Sunderland Uni back in 2015 and moved straight to Leeds.

I spent a year wandering around Manchester chasing creative placements, this involved a month placement in McCann. I got my first job at TBWA\Manchester which was the perfect home for a junior creative to go daft with ideas. I then moved to B2B agency Gyro and then Principles.

Outside of work, I’m a keen DIY’er. I’ve built my own fireplace, plastered my walls and built a wood panel feature wall. It’s still standing so don’t think I’ve done too bad. I’ve got a young Springer Lurcher cross which needs a lot of exercise. Having a hyper dog has encouraged me to go hiking which I do most weekends.’

Danny

‘Hey, I’m Danny and I’ve also joined as a creative.

When I graduated from Manchester Met. I came out with a first in Product Design and went straight into working for Hodges & Drake. My role was to create concepts and mockups for products. We worked with companies such as Redbull, Miller Coors, Diageo and Kenco. I then decided I was more interested in the branding, digital and print aesthetic side of design. So, I transferred over to graphics.

I have come from being the brand manager of Leeds University Union. I managed and mentored a team of designers within a marketing team. My skillset is in typographical and graphical application, with an interest in branding architecture and usages.

I enjoy following sports like MMA and football. I support Liverpool, hence owning the glasses Klopp used to wear.’

Keep an eye out on our Instagram in the coming weeks, no doubt you’ll spot these new faces getting settled in!
