Strategic brand activation agency Ride Shotgun continues to invest in growing its teams. Richard Marriott joins as chief growth officer whilst five other appointments are made across creative, production and clients services.

Richard joins the Leeds, Sheffield and London-based agency from Digital Content Marketing agency Zazzle Media, and will be responsible for driving forward sales and marketing; working with the growth team to develop new business.

Richard brings a wealth of expertise from 20 years in marketing, comprising various digital marketing and business development roles. This includes eight years at Zazzle Media where his leadership was instrumental in the strategic direction, day-to-day operational activity and substantial business development.

Following considerable growth, a merger with Stickyeyes and a buyout from IPG,  the agency became the UK’s largest independent, now known as Reprise, which employs 450 people in the UK.

Ride Shotgun has also bolstered its creative, production and client services teams with the addition of mid-weight creatives Liam Bruce and Danny More, lead video editor Greg Brauns and senior account executive Caitlan Shortall.

Commenting on joining, Richard said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Ride Shotgun. As a business we’re in a really unique place; we have the agility and pace of a new business but with an incredibly well established and talented team, plus all the experience of the two former agencies.

Alongside all of this, we’ve got some exciting developments in the pipeline as the business evolves and a great client roster to build from. The ever-growing team is evidence of our early success, so I’m looking forward to the journey!”

Investing in recruitment is key to Ride Shotgun’s continued success in the drive to become the UK’s leading strategic brand activation agency.
