Festive Shotgun Shenanigans

Posted by: Jess Chambers - 11.12.23

Last week, we ditched our strategic and creative super powers for the much anticipated Christmas Party. It was a fantastic night to celebrate our achievements and let off some steam with an amazing bunch of people.

This marks the first official gathering of the full Ride Shotgun family in one place. With our team jetting in from Bulgaria, and the Manchester, Sheffield and Bradford teams joining the crew from Leeds, we knew it would be an epic night.

A peek behind the scenes

The night wasn’t just about having a good time and a knees up, it was a nod to all the wins, the challenges, and the awesome connections that make us Ride Shotgun.

Our board of directors are the first to recognise that it is the team that truly makes Ride Shotgun special. We’ve got an incredible bunch of folks here—passionate not just about their work, but about each other too. It’s more than just a job; it’s a shared passion that brings us together.

In the midst of day to day awesome strategic and creative content production, our Ride Shotgun family has been busy celebrating three weddings, welcomed 12 new babies into the world, seen 23 well-deserved promotions, and witnessed a whopping 106% headcount growth in one year!

Their dedication is earning well-deserved industry accolades, clinching not one, but two, Drum Award Nominations this year. What’s even more impressive? Both nominations scored ‘Highly Commended’ honours, specifically in the ‘Paid Search’ and ‘Best Metaverse Company’ categories. It’s not just about being noticed; it’s about earning recognition for excellence.

And that’s not all – Ride Shotgun has secured its spot in the Prolific North’s ‘Top Agencies to Watch 2023,’ marking a clear statement that we’re carving out our space in the industry. It’s a testament to the hard work, innovation, and drive of our team.

Evening highlights?

The highly anticipated ‘Ride ShotFUN Oscars’ marked the start of our festivities, featuring categories like Hero of The Year, the Positive Vibes Award, and the Culture Warrior. It was a genuine celebration of those who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.

Then, it was our turn to shine the spotlight. The team directed a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ message to our board of directors — Andy Weir, Andy Little, Jon Dark, and Mark Mallinder. Cue the heart warming thanks from some of the 150+ crew.

Once the DJ took over the photobooth was wholly taken advantage of, while the rest of the team danced their socks off until the end of the night.

A big thank you

A big shout out to The Faversham in Leeds for hosting us, and roll on 2024! Here’s to the Ride Shotgun family and the remarkable journey we’ve shared in just 2 short years.
