Making a splash

Riders from our Leeds and Sheffield offices flocked to Rother Valley Park last week for the hotly anticipated summer party, ready to take on a fun-packed, adrenaline-fuelled day of activities.

Wetsuits donned. Limbs limbered up. The more daring of us took to the cable ski – the ultimate test of balance and upper body strength. While some graduated from kneeling to standing as they learned to navigate being slingshotted around corners, others retired to the banks to rest their weary arms. 

Meanwhile, mayhem was underway at the aqua park as we ran riot on giant water slides, trampolines and swings. Others enjoyed a spot of gentle paddle boarding amongst the ducks.

Those searching for drier lands joined our resident bird enthusiast, Senior Creative Dale Watson, on a nature walk where there were Chiffchaffs, Great Crested Grebes, and Buzzards aplenty. We even squeezed in a few games of Mölkky (an addictive throwing game from Finland) before refuelling with a much-needed barbeque and basking in the remainder of the sunshine.

A great day was had by all to celebrate being part of such an amazing team!
